Trullo La Specchia Ostuni - Countryside

Set in 5000 sqm of ancient olive trees, Trullo La Specchia is a stylish 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom villa comprised of three beautifully restored stone buildings set around an elegant pool with whirlpool and manicured gardens and lawn. It’s nestled on a hilltop conveniently located between the stunning towns of Ostuni and Cisternino. 

The first house is a newly restored Lamia consisting of 2 double bedrooms, one bathroom, with large shower, bidet and toilet. Ceramic sink, with chrome taps which are ingeniously designed, fitting into the wall. The sink sits on a marble, and resin surface, which is bespoke. The restoration of the Trulli and Lamia have been designed in keeping with local traditions handed down by craftsmen over hundreds of years.  

The Lamia throughout, has under floor heating, Air Conditioning, custom kitchen, with beautiful black quartz stone surfaces, 5 ringed smeg gas hob, and electric oven, large smeg fridge freezer, dishwasher, everything you need to enjoy your stay at Trullo La Specchia.

The breakfast bar made from thick solid Oak,  has ample seating for six and is ideal for those wanting a quick breakfast, before venturing outside to enjoy the peacful gardens and of course a quick dip to cool off in the large pool.

Comfortable seating and Air Conditioning throughout.

The contemporary grey smooth resin floor provides a beautiful contrast to the natural stone throughout this entire property.  All the furniture is of the hightest quality and beautifully presented as "country chic" throughout.  All the internal wall lamps and outdoor dining lamps are hand made by a well-known local craftsman.

First double bedroom has a double bed 1.6m, bedside cabinets, and lighting.  Bespoke wardrobe, so lots of hanging space.  The bedroom, as with all the rooms are spacious, and have barrelled ceilings, which add character to this wonderful crafted structure.

Second bedroom, can be planned as a double or a twin, with bespoke headboard, handmade wardrobe space, using antique doors, which adds character and original style.

All rooms have sliding doors, which gives you more room, and is an excellent use of space and oozes quality and craftsmanship.

Lounge seats 6 comfortably, with 46" LG TV, wifi, Open fireplace, coffee table.  The sofa is Winchester in design, and seats 4 quite easily.  Two hand designed chairs, allows six to sit comfortably.

The trullo, which is attached but accessed from the outside, has a double bed, 1.6m, an alcove where there is tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge.  The en-suite bathroom, again in resin, with glass shower screen, shower, toilet and sink, is ideal for a couple or grandparents, wanting their own privacy. A separate laundry room with washing machine is attached to the lamia next to the orange and lemon grove

Pool Lamia, is detached from the main dwelling, but is ideally placed, outside area in which to have breakfast, set back from the pool.  Again ideal for the extended family or couples who want some peace and quiet, away from the main part of the property.

The Pool Lamia has a large four poster bed with drapes, small kitchen area, with sink, tea and coffee making facilities, and small fridge. Air Conditioning/heating system.  Ideal, as this villa is private and has independent facilities, to have breakfast, while seated outside on the wrought Iron table and chairs.

En-suite facilities, which follows the style of the other two properties, but individual and unique.  With the mirror made of reclaimed wood,  a mix of old and new, and tastefully designed, shower, and toilet.

At the heart of the property is the elegant 5x12m pool with an inbuilt whirlpool seating section.  Eight sunbeds are provided with pool towels for you to relax and unwind. Several ancient olive trees surround the pool allowing for natural shade if desired.

As you enter through the lovely corten electric gates, you will love the layout of Trullo La Specchia, there is ample parking for 3-7 cars.  As you enter through the gates and approach the villa you will see the beautiful ancient old olive trees, and manicured gardens.  There is outdoor lighting which on an evening, is great to sit eating under the pergola, having BBQ'd your favourite dish.

Outdoor area is wonderful, and seats 10 maximum.  Hot and cold water, from the sink outside, make it an ideal area to prepare for your evening meal, with a glass of Prosecco or Puglian wine.

If you're wanting to explore Puglia, the villa is very conveniently located.  Ostuni and Cisternino are only 10 minutes away by car.  These charming towns are known for whitewashed houses, narrow, shady street, historic churches, elegant central piazzas and wonderful Puglian restaurants.  Martina Franca, Ceglie Messapica, Locorotondo, Alberoblleo and Polignano al Mare are also nearby.  Visit for an evening meal or simply to for a passeggiata (stroll). Its approximately 20 minutes to the nature reserve and beach of Torre Guaceto or do a day trip and explore the numerous beaches and coves dotted along the entire southern coast.  The larger cities of Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli are great for a day trip as well.
