Food & wine in Puglia is really an authentic experience of sun, soul and hard work! The genuineness of our cuisine comes up from tastes, flavors and colours of local products, mainly based on five fundamental ingredients: wheat (pasta and bread), olive oil, fresh and dry vegetables, meat and fish. The orecchiette, that in ancient times were the Sunday lunch of farmers, is nowadays the flagship of the region, always accompanied by a glass of wine. Puglia boasts 26 different DOC wines, like Primitivo di Manduria and Negroamaro, known worldwide as much as the locally produced extra-virgin olive oil.
