After years of intense passion and torment in the conquest of Antonia Fiermonte, the beloved of Zwobada, their union finally materialized with marriage. However, the happiness was abruptly interrupted by the sudden death of Antonia in Rome, when she was just 42 years old.

The devastating pain that afflicted the sculptor after the loss of his beloved is reflected in his eternal dedication to Antonia. Zwobada, destroyed by grief, decided to erect a mausoleum in his memory in the picturesque Roman countryside.
