TRAVEL CANCELLATION EXPENSE INSURANCE

All travelers benefit from a Europ Assistance insurance policy, offered by Raro Villas, for the sole guarantee of Travel Cancellation.

  • 1. GENERAL CONDITION


    You can request the travel cancellation or rental cost guarantee when you have to cancel the booked trip, for causes or events that are objectively documentable, unforeseeable and that are not known to you at the time of confirmation of the travel practice that affect:
    - directly to you and / or your family members;
    - directly your Partner / Co-owner of the company / associated studio;
    Europ Assistance compensates the penalty, contractually applied by the Tour Operator;
    - to you
    and, provided they are insured and registered on the same file:
    - to your family members;
    - to one of your travel companions.

    If there are multiple policyholders registered for the trip together and at the same time, and no one belongs to your family, you will have to indicate a single person as "travel companion".

    Europ Assistance reimburses in full the penalty charged for the total cancellation of the travel practice up to a maximum of Euro 30,000.00 per Travel practice; to be reimbursed they must cancel all and in no case will the pro quota be refunded.
    Europ Assistance does not reimburse:

    - the costs of practical management,
    - agency fees,
    - travel registration fees

    2. EXCLUSIONS

    a. to willful misconduct or gross negligence except as indicated in the individual guarantees;
    b. from floods, floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, atmospheric phenomena having characteristics of natural disasters, transmutation phenomena of the nucleus of the atom, radiation caused by the artificial acceleration of atomic particles;
    c. war, strikes, revolutions, riots or popular movements, looting, acts of and vandalism.
    d. theft, robbery, loss of identification and / or travel documents;
    e. is. mental diseases and mental disorders in general, including organic cerebral syndromes, schizophrenic disorders, paranoid disorders, manic-depressive forms and their consequences / complications;
    f. pregnancy or the pathological situations consequent to it in cases where conception occurred before the date of registration of the trip;
    g.accident, illness or death that occurs before travel confirmation;
    h. diseases that are the expression or the direct consequence of chronic pathological situations or pre-existing travel confirmation;
    i. the consequences and / or complications of accidents that occurred before confirming the trip;
    j. bankruptcy of the Carrier or the Agency or the Travel Organizer;
    k. epidemics with pandemic characteristics, of seriousness and virulence such as to cause a high mortality or to require restrictive measures in order to reduce the risk of transmission to the civilian population, quarantines;
    l. deposits and advance payments not justified by criminal tax documents;
    m. failure to send the communication by the start date of the trip / stay, except for the cases of renunciation caused by death or hospitalization of at least 24 consecutive hours (Day Hospital and First Aid excluded) of a family member.


    3. OBLIGATIONS OF THE INSURED IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM


    In the event of a claim, you must notify the travel organization or agency or the carrier of the formal renunciation of the trip and you must make a complaint no later than 3 days from when the cause of the renunciation occurred and in any case by the start date of the trip if the 3-day deadline falls after the travel start date.

    If the renunciation and / or modification of the trip is due to illness and / or accident, the report must also include:il tipo di patologia;
    - the beginning and end of the pathology.

    Within 15 days of the above report, you must send it to Europ Assistance Italia S.p.A. the following documents:
    - copy of the Europ Assistance card;
    - documentation objectively proving the cause of the renunciation / modification, in original;
    - documentation certifying the link between you and any other person who has determined the renunciation;
    - in case of illness or accident, medical certificate attesting the date of the accident or the onset of the disease, the specific diagnosis and the days of prognosis;
    - in case of hospitalization, certified copy of the original medical record;
    - in the event of death, the death certificate;
    - travel registration form or similar document;
    - receipts (down payment, balance, penalty) for the payment of the trip or rental;
    - confirmation statement issued by the Organization / Travel Agency;
    - invoice relating to the charged penalty issued by the Contractor and by the Organization / Travel Agency;
    - copy of the canceled ticket;
    - travel program and regulations;
    - travel documents (visas, etc.);
    - travel confirmation contract.

    In case of penalty charged by the air carrier / shipping company:
    - confirmation of the purchase of the ticket or similar document or receipt of payment of the same;
    - copy of the canceled air / naval ticket certifying the amounts charged to the customer.


    4. PROFESSIONAL SECRET


    The Insured releases the doctors possibly invested by examining the accident who visited him before or even after the accident, from professional secrecy towards Europ Assistance.

    5. STARTING AND DURATION OF THE INSURANCE


    The guarantees run from the start date of the trip / stay and will remain in force until the end of the same.
    The Travel Cancellation or Rental Expense Guarantee starts from the travel booking date and lasts until the start of the journey. The start of the journey means: the moment of check-in at the airport or in case of early check-in the passage of checks for boarding, or for locations on the day of the start of the stay.

MEDICAL EXPENSES REIMBURSEMENT INSURANCE

Should the Insured, following a sudden illness or accident, incur medical, pharmaceutical and hospital expenses for urgent and not postponable treatment or surgical interventions, received on the spot during the trip, during the period of validity of the guarantee, Europ Assistance will reimburse these expenses up to the maximum per Insured of € 1,500.00 for Italy and € 5,000.00 for Europe.

Only in the event of an accident are additional costs for the treatment received upon returning to the place of residence included in the guarantee, provided that they are made within 45 days following the accident itself.
Refunds will be made with a fixed and absolute deductible per claim of Euro 50.00.
