This property is part of a large 7-hectare farming estate comprising 2 independent villas (a short distance away from each other) and it is surrounded by woods and olive groves. Villa del Benessere has been recently and tastefully restored preserving its original architectural features such as the ancient terracotta-tiled floors, the beautiful beamed ceilings and has been turned into a welcoming country house. The interiors are tastefully furnished with antique pieces, ancient doors, paintings, Persian carpets.. The outside areas offer a nice 2500-square-meter garden and a beautiful infinity private pool set in panoramic location. The property location allows easy access to Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the Versilia coastline area with large beaches, night-life and nice restaurants. A well-known architectural magazine, “Casa Antica” dedicated an article to this property. The villa provides telephone, air-conditioning, WI-FI internet connection, satellite TV, alarm system, mosquito nets, safe and hairdryers (in all bathrooms). Parking for 4 cars within the grounds. Additional services (to be requested at reservation and to be paid on site): 2 cots, 2 baby beds and 2 high-chairs (available free of charge). Free WI-FI internet connection. Torre Alcina is a superb villa with 5 bedrooms each with bathroom ensuite, large garden, a 12 x 6 swimming pool that is warmed by all day sun exposure with fantastic panoramic views. AIR CONDITIONING in each bedroom and a new play ground area of 1000sqm. Torre Alcina - 'Tower of the Sky' - takes its name from its outstanding position over the valley from which you can enjoy superb panoramic views. The tower was built in middle of 1600 when it was used as a lookout for approaching enemies. In 1894 the building was expanded to include a stone farmhouse. This work was done by the great-grandfather of the current owner. Traditional Tuscan style was maintained in the recent restoration of this property. The ceiling and floors are beautifully finished with terracotta tiles, and the ceilings have exposed wooden beams. The original wooden doors have all been refinished with antique hardware. There is a new pool (12 x 6 m depth 1.5 mt; open from 1st May to1st October) in a beautiful garden with roses , lavender, jasmine, with cypresses and olive trees, offering stunning views over the valley towards the lush green tuscan hills. The pool area has a big gazebo, table, chairs and barbeques, from which to enjoy your al-fresco meal, the mediaeval town of Monterchi and the lush green Tuscan Hills are a backdrop. Distances The nearest village is Monterchi at 2,5 km, it can also be reached on foot through a beautiful country road. Cortona is 45 km, Siena 91 km, Florence at 105 km, and San Gimignano is 147 km. At Guests' disposal: During your stay, you will have access to tennis table, volley ball, playground area for children, and football area. There are also sunbeds/chairs and umbrellas for the pool area as well as a private outdoor dining area and a barbecue. Free WI-FI internet available both in the villa and in the outside areas.
